Ukraine's 40th Separate Coastal Defence Brigade has reported that its forces used a Barracuda unmanned boat to deliver first-person view (FPV) drones for a surprise strike on a Russian vessel.

Details: The brigade did not specify when the operation took place, but added that it was successful.

"The operation was conducted quickly and without risk to our fighters – [Russian] personnel and ammunition were destroyed. Modern technology works for defence and saves lives," the 40th Brigade said.

Background: The 40th Brigade had previously showcased the Barracuda unmanned boat in action. They said the drone can carry out tasks impossible for humans, such as inflicting fire damage, evacuating people quickly from coastal areas and delivering ammunition to high-risk locations.
