Ukrainian runner Tkachuk wins 24-hour ultramarathon in France

Ukrainian athlete Andrii Tkachuk has won a 24-hour ultramarathon held from 18 to 19 October, covering a distance of 294.062 km.

Details: The race took place in the French city of Albi and brought together more than 200 participants. In the women's category, the winner was Sarah Webster from the United Kingdom.
Tkachuk has participated in the Russo-Ukrainian war, serving in the Sich battalion and defending Ukraine in the country's east.
In 2019, he also competed in the Albi ultramarathon, finishing tenth with a distance of 262.788 km. Last year, he won the BukoTrail-2024 race, running 78 km.
Tkachuk also holds Ukraine's national record – he covered 435.466 km during a national 48-hour running championship.
Earlier, it was reported that a Canadian athlete won an ultramarathon in the United Kingdom while stopping to breastfeed her child.
