International expert Giorgi Inalishvili stated this on Espreso."Despite what happened in Georgia on October 4, specifically the storming and attempt to seize the presidential palace, where 60 people were also detained, a revolution in the country is still almost impossible. I am talking about a planned and organized revolution. It is almost impossible to predict this in advance, and what happened on October 4 certainly cannot be called a revolution. Firstly, society has no trust in the organizers of even an attempted revolution, let's call it that. Although there are very famous people among these organizers, in particular, the singer Paata Burchuladze and others," Inalishvili said.According to the expert, even the calls from the rally organizers to act more radically did not spur the protesters to more active measures."Secondly, Georgians have been rallying and protesting against the government for over 300 days. However, society itself is not ready for radical actions. This was evident when the organizers called on people to go to the presidential palace, as very few people followed them," he added. On October 4, 2025, at the end of the voting day for local elections, supporters of the Georgian opposition stormed the Orbeliani Palace, where the presidential residence is located.
