Zelensky seeks to interest Trump in energy deal with Ukraine, AP reports

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants to propose an energy deal to his US counterpart Donald Trump during their meeting on 17 October.

Details: The sources said Zelenskyy intends to offer storage for US liquefied natural gas in Ukrainian gas facilities.
This would enable the United States to maintain a presence in the European energy market.
Zelenskyy outlined this strategy during meetings with US Energy Secretary Chris Wright and American energy company executives on Thursday 16 October.
Following these meetings, Zelenskyy emphasised the importance of repairing Ukraine's energy infrastructure after Russian attacks and expanding "the presence of American businesses in Ukraine".
