The Ukrainian President's Office reports.The head of state thanked American partners for providing air defense systems to Ukraine, noting that they have already saved many lives.Zelenskyy also briefed the company’s representatives on the situation at the front. According to him, Russian forces are failing to achieve their military objectives and are therefore increasing attacks on civilian targets and energy infrastructure, using over 500 drones and dozens of missiles per day.He emphasized that Ukraine needs strengthened air defense with additional systems and missiles, and outlined specific requirements.Raytheon expressed condolences to Ukrainians who lost loved ones due to Russian attacks and assured continued support for Ukraine.“The parties discussed Raytheon’s production capabilities, potential cooperation to strengthen air defense and Ukraine’s long-range capabilities, and prospects for Ukrainian-American manufacturing. Solutions exist that can enhance protection of lives in Ukraine. Work is ongoing at all levels to ensure their implementation,” the statement said.On October 14, U.S. Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker said that announcements on new agreements under the PURL initiative are expected this week.
