According to the police, an argument between two teenagers escalated into a fight. One of them, a citizen of Ukraine, received multiple stab wounds to his head, arms, and upper body. Medics who arrived at the scene were unable to save the boy — he died at the location.The other 17-year-old involved in the conflict was arrested, but he was also taken to the hospital with injuries. A female caregiver who works at the facility was injured while trying to stop the fight.The Grattan Wood complex is owned by the state agency Tusla, which cares for children who are without parents or in need of protection. The agency confirmed that the apartment where the incident occurred is part of a residential unit with round-the-clock care for underage asylum seekers.The Prime Minister of Ireland, Micheál Martin, expressed his sincere condolences to the family of the deceased Ukrainian boy and assured that law enforcement would conduct a full investigation into the circumstances of the tragedy.On August 22, in the United States of America, 23-year-old Ukrainian Iryna Zarutska, who had arrived in the country fleeing the war, was killed. The suspect in the crime has been arrested.
