Military expert Ivan Stupak shared his opinions on Espreso TV.“Russia also threatened escalation when tanks were supplied to Ukraine. They said it would be a red line — and what happened? Ukraine got the tanks and more, and nothing changed. So their warnings about Tomahawk missiles shouldn’t be taken seriously,” Stupak explained. The expert added that even if Ukraine receives Tomahawk missiles, the number will likely be small and won’t significantly affect the battlefield situation.“In general, if we’re talking about Tomahawk missiles, then unfortunately they will not be able to radically change the course of this war. Yes, of course we would like them to be a kind of silver bullet — a weapon that could force the Russian leadership to stop the war — but that won’t happen. Those missiles were effective in Iraq because of mass launches. They were fired by the hundreds at Iraqi army positions. Back then they produced results. Now we are talking about 20–25 of these missiles. Not all of them will reach their targets; some will certainly be shot down. So, unfortunately, these missiles will not have a decisive impact on the war,” he emphasized. On Monday, October 13, U.S. President Donald Trump said he might provide Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles if Russian leader Vladimir Putin does not stop the war.
