Drone raid in Russia’s Ufa: smoke spotted near oil refinery

Channel 24 reports the information with reference to the Russian opposition publication ASTRA and the Telegram channel Supernova+.Russian journalists reported that an unidentified drone apparently struck an industrial area in Ufa, which includes the Ufaorgsintez oil refinery owned by Bashneft.Local residents report seeing smoke near Birsky Trakt, a road running through the industrial zone. There are also reports of mobile internet outages.A drone alert had previously been issued in Bashkortostan. Ufa airport activated the Carpet plan, though the temporary restrictions were later lifted.It is worth noting that Bashneft‑UNPZ is located about 1,400 kilometers from Ukraine’s borders. This marks the fourth attack on Bashkortostan in the past month.On the morning of October 11, long-range drones from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) targeted the Bashneft-UNPZ oil refinery in Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan.
