US Treasury secretary says Washington is ready to step up pressure on Russia together with G7

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has assured Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko during a meeting in Washington that the United States is ready to work with other G7 countries to increase pressure on Russia.

Details : The US Treasury stated that Bessent "reiterated the United States' commitment to working with G7 partners to significantly escalate pressure on Russia".
Quote from the US Treasury : "He [Bessent] stressed the need for European allies to ratchet up their pressure campaign not only against Russia, but also against any country that finances the Russian war machine through purchases of Russian oil."
Details : Meanwhile, Svyrydenko thanked Bessent for his focus on sanctions.
