Mandatory evacuation zone for families with children expanded in Kharkiv Oblast

The Defence Council of Kharkiv Oblast has decided to carry out a mandatory evacuation of families with children from another 40 settlements in the Kupiansk district.

Details: The evacuation will cover 27 settlements in the Velykyi Burluk hromada, six in the Vilkhuvatka hromada, and seven in the Shevchenkove hromada. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]
In total, 409 families with 601 children are to be evacuated.
Syniehubov said that evacuation routes have already been defined, and temporary accommodation sites have been arranged. Evacuated families will also receive assistance in obtaining internally displaced persons (IDP) status, access to financial aid and humanitarian support.
