Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief said this in a statement following a monthly meeting on medical support for the Armed Forces. He noted that under such conditions, logistics and military medicine play a decisive role in the rapid evacuation and treatment of the wounded. “We must view the war through the prism of the needs of Ukrainian infantrymen, protecting their lives and health,” the Commander-in-Chief emphasized.During the meeting, he heard a report on the innovative medical practices of the 106th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade. Its medical service enables doctors from rear hospitals to provide real-time consultations to soldiers in combat zones using portable FMC complexes. These systems ensure secure online consultations and transmit ECG, ultrasound, dermatoscopy, and otoscopy data, even from remote frontline areas. The first batch of this equipment has already been delivered to military units, and the initial results are positive. The Commander-in-Chief stressed that this practical experience should be expanded across the Armed Forces, alongside new technologies such as robotic systems for battlefield evacuation and the wider use of digital tools in medical logistics.Work also continues on digitizing medical records to reduce paperwork and simplify access to care for servicemen and women. “Our main task is to preserve the lives and health of Ukraine’s defenders who are holding the front line,” he said, thanking all those contributing to this effort.
