Russian volunteers from the Freedom of Russia Legion, in cooperation with special forces from the FERRATA active operations unit of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), are beginning a new phase in the fight against the Russian troops. To this end, they have received surface unmanned boats for the first time.

Quote from DIU: "For the first time in the history of the Russian volunteer movement, it can now use unmanned surface boats, which is an important step in expanding the tools of resistance. Clear coordination, accurate intelligence and innovative approaches allow scouts to successfully operate against the enemy [Russia – ed.] at a considerable distance from the coast."

Background:

• DIU uses Magura v5 kamikaze boats and FPV drone carriers. One such drone carrier is equipped with a conventional boat engine with blades instead of water jets and is capable of transporting four containers with FPV drones ready for launch.
• Another drone carrier has a different hull shape and is equipped with a launcher for four aircraft-type drones.
