Lithuanian PM: sanctions on Russia and Belarus will stay until Ukraine's territorial integrity is restored

Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė has said that her country will not lift sanctions on Russia and Belarus until Ukraine's territorial integrity is fully restored and all damages caused by Russia are compensated.

Details: Šimonytė, who is in Kyiv on a visit on 6 October, said that those responsible for armed aggression against Ukraine must be held accountable.

She said Lithuania supports the establishment of a Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression, the operation of the Registry of Damage, and the European Commission's proposal to use frozen Russian assets for the benefit of Ukraine.

More details: The Lithuanian prime minister also said that the ultimate goal is "full compensation for all damages inflicted on Ukraine".
