President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared the information on his Telegram channel.“Next year, Ukrainian production capacity for drones and missiles alone will already reach $35 billion. More than 40% of the weapons currently used at the front are either produced in Ukraine or produced with Ukrainian involvement. And our production will only grow,” the president noted.Zelenskyy added that the goal for manufacturers, the Government of Ukraine and all involved institutions is to ensure at least 50% of weapons at the front are Ukrainian‑made by year’s end, and that this target must be met.“Ukraine needs funding for its full potential to truly operate, and we are working with all partners who can help provide it. It is time to start exporting Ukrainian weapons — the types we have in surplus and can therefore export — to finance the kinds of weapons that are especially needed for defense,” he wrote. The president stated he had instructed the government, the Office, and the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine to develop key elements of an export system, with the program’s working title — Weapons.“Agreements have already been made to open export-import platforms in Europe, the United States, and the Middle East. The goal is to have these platforms operational by the end of the year,” Zelenskyy concluded.
