Munich airport cancels 17 flights and diverts 15 after drones spotted

The German air traffic control service DFS restricted flights at Munich airport starting at 22:18 on 2 October, subsequently suspending all flights due to the detection of drones in the airspace.

Details: The report stated that 17 flights had been unable to depart from Munich, affecting almost 3,000 passengers.

The airport's press service stated that folding beds had been set up in the terminals for passengers. They were also provided with food and drinks.
In addition, 15 arriving flights were diverted to Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Vienna and Frankfurt.
Background:
An unidentified drone was recorded in the Norwegian city of Brønnøysund on 28 September and the evening of 30 September, leading to the temporary closure of the local airport.
On 27 September, Norwegian police decided to tighten drone flight rules around four airports in Nordland following possible drone sightings near the Ørland military air base.
Among these airports were Brønnøysund, as well as Bodø, Evenes and Andenes.
