NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said this in an interview with Fox News.Rutte recalled that NATO countries have already allocated $2 billion for packages of American weapons for Ukraine. Other aid packages are under consideration."You will see a continuous flow of American weapons to Ukraine, paid for by the allies. And I think that together with the sanctions, along with the 5% target that we as NATO will spend on our collective defense, this great foreign policy success of President Trump at the NATO summit in The Hague in June, collectively creates pressure on the Russian Federation to take this seriously and stop its actions," the Secretary General noted. Rutte also pointed out that Russia is now losing as many people in one month as the Soviet Union lost in 10 years in Afghanistan."Can you imagine? 10 years in Afghanistan is the same as one month now in Ukraine. This is becoming madness," he added. For reference. The PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) mechanism is an initiative through which Ukraine receives American weapons. The supply is paid for not by the U.S., but by its NATO allies. Specifically, this will allow Ukraine to receive critically important missiles for the Patriot air defense systems, which are produced only in the United States.
