Defense Express reports. In a significant declassification of a 2024 special operation, Ukrainian security officials have released details and video footage of the successful strike on the 107th GRAU (Main Missile and Artillery Directorate) arsenal in the Tver region of Russia. The attack resulted in the complete destruction of the facility, which housed an estimated 150,000 tons of munitions. The subsequent detonation of the arsenal was so immense that seismographs recorded a tremor measuring 2.8 on the Richter scale.According to the SBU's Alpha special operations unit, the destroyed depot contained a critical portion of Russia's stockpile, including approximately 50% of all its 120mm mortar shells and 10% of its guided aerial bombs. The newly released video footage showcases the preparation and launch of the drone used in the operation. The unmanned aerial vehicle, identified as the FP-1, is seen being launched with a solid-fuel booster. Its distinct design features a rectangular fuselage and an inverted V-shaped tail. This revelation confirms long-held speculation, as the drone's manufacturer, Fire Point, had previously used footage of the 107th arsenal's destruction in its own promotional materials for the FP-1 system.Fire Point shared footage with Politico showing launches and some impact results of their FP-1 drones, which account for 60 percent of long-range drone strikes on Russian territory. https://t.co/ALuCEfKGDv pic.twitter.com/6voCZPt9El— WarTranslated (@wartranslated) August 22, 2025
