This is reported on the brigade's YouTube page.In an interview, Evans said that he came to Russia as a tourist and lived there for two weeks. However, the day before his return to Kenya, the young man who was hosting him offered him a job."That day he asked me if I liked Russia. I answered that yes, I like it here, but I explained that my visa was about to expire. Then he said that he would solve this problem, and in the evening he brought documents in Russian. I didn't know it was related to military service. He just showed me where to sign. After that, he took my passport and phone, promising to return them," the Kenyan said.Later, Evans was taken away by unknown people in a private car. They informed him that they were taking him to military training. To this, he replied: "I don't want to go there," but heard in response: "It's already signed." That's how he ended up in a military camp, where, according to him, he stayed for only a week and learned nothing. With him were mostly Russians, but also people from Belarus, Tajikistan, and some African countries. "I found myself where I didn't want to be. It was a situation I couldn't get out of. I was 'chained' because I didn't know what I was signing. That signature ruined my life. They spoke Russian, and I didn't understand anything," the prisoner shared his memories."My commanders and instructors did not know English, so they usually pulled me by the hands or pushed me to make me do what they wanted," Evans said. After two nights in the forest, he looked for Ukrainian soldiers to save his life.According to the prisoner: "If I had run to the Russians, they would have killed me. So I decided to surrender to the Ukrainians and told them that I was Kenyan and asked them not to shoot."In the Kharkiv region, the Russians are trying to amass forces and equipment and are preparing to intensify assault operations.
