Ukraine’s drones damage two tankers in Russian port of Primorsk

Reuters reports, citing sources.The vessels in question are the Aframax-type tankers Kusto and Cai Yun, registered in the Seychelles. Both tankers belong to Russia’s so-called “shadow fleet” and sail under the Seychellois flag.According to the report, the Kusto tanker can carry about 700,000 barrels of oil.As a result of the attack, oil loading in Primorsk was temporarily halted. It is currently unclear whether the port has resumed operations.Primorsk is a key Baltic export hub for Russian oil and the largest port in western Russia. Its throughput capacity is about 1 million barrels of crude oil per day.Earlier, Ukrainian media reported that on September 12, Ukrainian Security Service drones struck Russia’s largest oil terminal on the Baltic Sea, Primorsk, halting oil shipments.
