Ukrainian Armed Forces officer, Lieutenant Colonel Serhiy Tsekhotskyi, said this on Espreso TV."Over the past few days, attention has been focused on the Pokrovsk direction, on those 'rabbit ears' that appeared on the map. People were saying that the Russians would soon break through the front and advance further. But nothing of the sort happened. There was a timely response — additional forces were deployed, and now you can see on the map that these 'ears' are badly damaged and full of holes, with a large number of the enemy destroyed," commented a Ukrainian Armed Forces officer.According to him, the situation on the Pokrovsk front is under Ukrainian Armed Forces control, with the cleanup of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups, which were trying to regroup and capitalize on gains, ongoing."In certain areas, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces have made some gains, while in others the situation remains stable, holding the defensive line. The enemy clearly knows they cannot advance here, so they make no attempts. I won’t speak for the entire front in this direction, but it’s encouraging that there are units - I won’t name them - where a whole day passes without any of our casualties, while the enemy suffers losses," noted Tsekhotskyi. On August 15, the Ukrainian General Staff and the 7th Air Assault Brigade reported that Ukrainian paratroopers cleared Pokrovsk of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
