Vasyl Chervonyi, a volunteer with the 25th Separate Rifle Battalion of Ukraine's 54th Mechanized Brigade, said during a live broadcast on Espreso TV that the Soledar–Spirne front remains less intense than areas like Pokrovsk, but enemy activity persists."It’s somewhat calmer there than on hot spots like Pokrovsk and similar areas," he noted. "Still, every day – or every other day – the enemy sends two or three infantrymen to test the area, looking for a place to pass or break through. They try to be sneaky, approaching by boats or crawling at night, making crossing points if there’s a river."According to Chervonyi, Russian forces shield these actions with powerful electronic warfare systems. "Our drones really cannot get close enough to properly observe what’s planned, any advances, or potential breakthroughs," he explained."The guys are always on edge, always expecting the enemy to try something, as they say, to seize their positions. Now they’re digging entirely different structures to carry out their duty. If before there were expanded dugouts or trenches, now it’s all burrows and little tunnels. There are really a lot of enemy FPV drones. If earlier they tried to destroy either personnel or equipment, now they can send 20–30 drones in a day or night directly at a dugout or burrow, just to bury it, so our guys can’t get out, fight back, or defend themselves," said Vasyl Chervonyi.Chervonyi is currently raising funds for the 25th Separate Rifle Battalion of the 54th Mechanized Brigade, which urgently needs Mavic drones, electronic warfare systems, and FPV drones."We urgently need electronic warfare systems – they’re an essential part," noted the serviceman. "Previously, we raised about one and a half million, thank God, people helped, helped a lot. But we still lack EW systems. If the enemy spots even a small antenna, they completely destroy that position."And we also desperately need drones – both Maviks and FPVs – to respond, because right now, unfortunately, it’s basically a drone war. If the Russians have, say, 20 drones and we have two or three, we’re just waiting and striking precisely when needed. We can’t just destroy everything the way they do. As for Maviks – they’re the eyes, the protection for our infantry and personnel. That’s why we’re raising funds for FPVs, EWs, and drones."
