The Russians will just keep slowly taking everything, seizing more land, and moving forward."Putin corrected Lukashenko, insisting that the Russian army would not just seize land but "take back what is ours."Commenting on the negotiation process, Putin added, "All disappointments come from unrealistic expectations." Lukashenko agreed and said Belarus would take part in talks if needed.Putin also claimed that "there are no unnecessary losses among Russian soldiers" in the war against Ukraine.Western sanctions Lukashenko said, "If Trump wants peace in Ukraine, he should engage carefully in the settlement process. Demands won’t work."He stressed that "no one will bring us to our knees — we’re determined to defend our interests."Lukashenko also framed Western sanctions as an opportunity: "If someone shut one door, there are many others open. Russia and Belarus have made a serious shift. I believe, in time, the world will recognize what we've done. It seemed impossible in the early 20s — but we made it happen."Oreshnik in BelarusPutin announced that Russia had produced the first serial version of the Oreshnik system, and the military has already received it. He added that the issue of deploying it in Belarus would be resolved “by the end of the year.”"Belarusian and Russian military specialists have selected a site for future deployment. Preparations are already underway. So, most likely, we’ll finalize everything by year’s end," Putin said.Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called on Russia to move beyond technical-level talks and public statements and instead begin direct negotiations between the leaders of both countries in a bid to end the war.
