This was stated by CSL President Laura Hołowacz."We understand that the entry of Ukrainian raw materials, agricultural products and grain into the Polish market is a bad thing, and it should never happen. However, we must distinguish between two things: permission for transit, and therefore, profit for Polish ports and transshipment terminals, and permission for the introduction of goods into circulation. We believe that blocking the transshipment of products from Ukraine to Poland is painful for our economy," she said. The president of the logistics company emphasized that imports of most Ukrainian grain crops have not occurred for over a year — thus, transport companies, ports, transshipment terminals are suffering losses."Polish terminals, and they are probably all empty and incur very high maintenance costs. We also noticed that some countries, such as Romania, Germany, Turkey, have a large amount of grain from Ukraine in their ports. These countries can act in such a way as to process the transportation of raw materials, and at the same time not lead to its distribution on their domestic markets. Unfortunately, this situation has been neglected in our country. As a result, transport companies, ports, transshipment terminals suffer losses," emphasized Hołowacz. She summarized: there are losses of "very large amounts of money" on rail transport, transshipment, port services in particular."And it looks like the warehouses are empty, and other countries earn on this activity and servicing of these goods," - added the president of CSL.In February 2024, Polish farmers sent an official message about the resumption of strikes on the border with Ukraine. The blockade of the Dorohusk - Yahodyn checkpoint began on February 9. The protest action was agreed upon by the local authorities until March 9.The reason for the resumption of protests, according to one of the organizers of the action, Roman Kondruv, was that since the previous actions the authorities had done nothing about the problems of technical grain from Ukraine. On February 12, on the Ukrainian-Polish border, near the Yahodyn - Dorohusk checkpoint, Polish protesters dropped grain from Ukrainian trucks directly onto the ground.
