Military observer Vasyl Pekhno on Espreso TV.“It appears that the second phase of the Russian active offensive within the summer campaign is now beginning on the front. In some places, we are even seeing surprising things—for example, in the Siversk direction, there were active attacks by mechanized units toward the city of Siversk. That is, the Russians recently used armored vehicles for the first time in a long while. This looks somewhat strange, because given the current situation on the front, it was unexpected to see large columns of Russian equipment,” Pekhno noted.According to the military expert, in recent times there have also been several outbreaks of enemy mechanized activity in the Zaporizhzhia region, toward Mala Tokmachka, which is the Orikhiv direction. There, the Russians also pressed our positions using tanks.“Even recently near Pokrovsk, there were attacks by mechanized groups involving a small number of vehicles. They tried to build on the success the Russians achieved last week, when sabotage and reconnaissance groups entered the city itself. So now we are seeing new surges of activity from the Russians and are in a state of anticipation for a new phase of active combat operations,” Pekhno concluded. In the Kharkiv region, near the village of Lyptsi, Russian forces are trying to reduce the so-called 'gray zone' by applying intense fire pressure. Despite their losses, the Russians are receiving reinforcements and preparing conditions for further offensive actions.
