Espreso correspondent Tetiana Vysotska reported the information."The news about the Patriots is super news, because it's no longer about two Patriots, as was initially said that Germany would transfer to Ukraine with U.S. assistance. Now it's about five Patriots, and at the same time, Boris Pistorius said that in the coming days he will negotiate with partners to deliver the Patriots to Ukrainian territory as quickly as possible," Vysotska emphasized.According to the correspondent, the United Kingdom and Germany have initiated a joint project to supply ammunition to Ukraine. In particular, they agreed that Ukraine will receive 220,000 rounds for Gepard anti-aircraft guns in the near future—these are German anti-aircraft complexes that are successfully operating in Ukraine and shooting down Russian drones."It was also mentioned that the United Kingdom has allocated 700 million pounds for long-range missiles for Ukraine and Ukrainian air defense systems. Interestingly, Boris Pistorius thanked four countries for supporting Ukraine's air defense—Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. They are actively joining in to ensure Ukraine receives more missiles and air defense systems to protect against the horrific Russian attacks," Vysotska noted. On Monday, July 21, the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format began, with 52 states present at the level of defense ministers or their deputies. Ukraine's new Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal outlined Kyiv's priority needs and discussed key decisions by partners.
