The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in its 4:00 p.m. battlefield update.“Today, communities in border areas came under artillery fire, including Bobylivka, Novodmytrivka, Oleksandrivka, Chernatske, Hudove, Seredyna-Buda, Prohres, Prokhody, Turia, and Studenok in Sumy region,” the General Staff noted.Battlefield overview:Sumy region and Kursk sectors: Four Russian attacks have been recorded since morning. Russian forces also carried out six airstrikes using 15 guided bombs and shelled Ukrainian positions and settlements 183 times, including two barrages with multiple rocket launchers.Kharkiv region: Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled two attacks near Vovchansk.Kupiansk sector: Russian forces attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses near Synkivka.Lyman sector: The invading Russian army launched 14 attacks targeting Ukrainian positions near Novyi Myr, Nadiia, Karpivka, Kolodiazi, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, and toward Serebrianka. Two battles are still ongoing.Siversk sector: Russian troops launched three assaults, showing heightened activity near Hryhorivka and toward Vyiimka.Kramatorsk sector: Ukrainian troops repelled two Russian attacks near Bila Hora.Toretsk sector: Four Russian assaults were recorded in the areas of Nelipivka, Toretsk, and Oleksandro-Kalyneve. One clash is still underway.Pokrovsk sector: Russian troops launched 26 attempts to push Ukrainian forces from their positions near Poltavka, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, and Oleksiivka. Ukrainian troops repelled 21 of those attacks, while five engagements are ongoing.Novopavlivka sector: Russian forces attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses near Piddubne, Myrne, Vilne Pole, and Zelene Pole. Seven Russian assaults were successfully repelled.Huliaipole sector: The settlement of Bilohiria was hit by a Russian airstrike.Orikhiv sector: Russian aircraft targeted the areas around Novoandriivka and Plavni.The Russian occupation army intensified assault operations in the Prydniprovskyi sector over the past two days.
