European leaders agree to boost Ukraine’s air defense, fund drone interceptors

The office of Ukrainian president reported.Leaders of countries and international organizations—members of the Coalition of the Willing—gathered today in London, Rome, and online to discuss increasing support for Ukraine and pressure on Russia. For the first time, representatives from the United States—Special Envoy Keith Kellogg and Senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal—joined the meeting.“The main priority of support is strengthening Ukraine’s integrated air defense capabilities. Leaders also agreed on further backing to deter massive attacks by Russian drones and to increase funding for the production of drone interceptors,” the leaders’ statement said.Coalition members also supported peace talks involving U.S. President Donald Trump and agreed to tighten sanctions on Russia’s military economy, particularly in the energy and financial sectors. The leaders confirmed that strong Ukrainian Armed Forces guarantee sovereignty and pledged to provide Ukraine with at least €40 billion in military and financial aid in 2025.On July 10, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that after his conversation with U.S. counterpart Donald Trump, there were signals about the resumption of U.S. aid deliveries.
