Defense Express development director Valerii Riabykh said this on Espreso TV.He commented on the development of interceptor drones."This is a very promising area and it is limited only by technological capabilities and scalability. There are already a sufficient number of models that are effective against both reconnaissance drones and the same Shaheds. At least two months ago, the Ukrainian Armed Forces received four effective such devices," Riabykh said. The expert added that the number of such drones is growing."A number of means offered by our partners are connected, including for scaling up their production, both on the territory of partners and at ours. What's interesting about this is that such drones are a manifestation of new technologies and they can be linked to modern control systems," he said.Riabykh added that this could make it possible to automate the process of shooting down drones.“At some point, when the quantity and quality of the means is increased, when they are included in the overall air defense system, the enemy will inevitably ask the question of moving away from large quantities of shaheds, because in general, this efficiency can be significantly reduced to the point where there is minimal sense in increasing production,” the expert concluded.
