This was announced by the company General Cherry. The Gerbera UAV is a Russian alternative to Iran's Shahed-136, also called Geran-2. Its mission is to overwhelm Ukrainian air defense systems by mimicking the Shahed-136. However, the drone is also capable of reconnaissance tasks and strikes. At the same time, the Gerbera is less detectable by radar and more maneuverable."These are the first confirmed combat hits of the Gerbera in the air, carried out with the help of a Ukrainian FPV drone designed to counter reconnaissance drones. The destruction of the Gerbera is the result of excellent work by the National Guard of Ukraine," the company emphasized. The General Cherry AIR drone is one of the first Ukrainian drones created specifically to counter enemy UAVs dynamically."Our AIR drone effectively counters modern threats under conditions of limited resources. Spending valuable and limited missiles to destroy UAVs, which are mass-produced by the enemy, is inefficient. We realize that mass drone attacks are our new reality, so we are developing solutions that allow us to counter the enemy much more cheaply. The destruction of the Gerbera is further confirmation that we are moving in the right direction," said Rudolf Akopyan, Director of Strategic Communications at General Cherry. On July 1, the Ministry of Defense codified and approved the use of the "RONNI-13" UAV in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
