Volodymyr Ohryzko, diplomat and head of the Center for Russian Studies, said this in an interview on Espreso TV."The problem with our liberal European friends is that they are too tolerant, as the first President of Ukraine, Leonid Kravchuk, used to say. They are willing to endure for a long time so as not to create the impression of a lack of unity in the European Union. This often holds them back. They do not want to make quick decisions, they look for compromises, and Trojan horses take full advantage of this, not even hiding their main idea—to torpedo the EU’s unity," Ohryzko noted. The diplomat added that the destruction of the European Union and NATO is the cherished dream of the Russian criminal Putin. He has harbored this dream for a long time, and now acts through his proxies. This concerns not only two countries, but also political parties in certain states that are essentially dancing to Putin’s tune, as well as numerous public organizations, many journalists who have repeatedly been bought and resold, so-called experts, and so on. This is a systematic, methodical effort, and unfortunately, to some extent, a successful one."Therefore, if Europe wants to maintain its unity and truly demonstrate its strength, it finally needs to take action. I believe that literally in a year or two, it will be necessary to make decisions, otherwise the European Union will practically cease to exist effectively," Ohryzko emphasized. On June 30, the European Union extended sectoral sanctions against the Russian Federation for another six months.
