Russia strikes Odesa port infrastructure with ballistic missile, causing casualities

Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said this, according to Ukrinform.“A ballistic cluster missile struck the port infrastructure. Two people were killed, three were injured and are receiving medical assistance. The driver of a truck was killed, and the identity of the other victim is currently being established,” Kiper said.Later, the Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, Oleksii Kuleba, clarified that the enemy’s Iskander missile hit the area of one of the berths of the Odesa seaport.According to him, at that time, people were working on the berth, unloading metal from a foreign vessel flying the flag of São Tomé and Príncipe. Among the dead are a dockworker-mechanic and a truck driver.
“Six more people were injured. Among them are employees of one of the port operators and a driver. Two others are Syrian citizens, members of the crew of the civilian vessel. All necessary assistance is being provided to the victims,” Kuleba added.It is noted that portal cranes, equipment, and warehouses were also damaged.On the evening of June 27, the Russian army launched attack drones on Ukrainian territory. As a result of the attack, a high-rise building in Odesa was hit.
