This information comes from the OSINT project DeepState.Analysts say this trend follows the momentum seen in May. For comparison, during the most critical period for Ukraine — November of last year — Russian forces advanced by 730 square kilometers. The largest territorial losses were recorded in the Novopavlivka and Pokrovsk directions, where Russian forces seized 29% and 27% of the territory, respectively.Significant advances were also observed in the Sumy region, with an 18% gain.Overall, three areas accounted for three-quarters of all advances. The remaining quarter was spread almost evenly across other front-line sections, each making up about 4–6%.“Russia advances stem from manpower issues, which are now critical for both sides. However, it’s clear that the Russians still have some personnel reserves. The decline in mechanized attacks is further proof of the enemy’s equipment problems, which they try to compensate for with motorcycles and buggies. Assault actions involving only one to three infantry soldiers are no longer surprising. At the same time, the number of these small groups remains significant,” DeepState concluded. On July 1, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed documents to ratify the agreement establishing a special tribunal for Russia’s crime of aggression against Ukraine.
