The Danish Presidency of the EU states this on its website.Denmark’s government has outlined two main priorities for its EU Council presidency: strengthening Europe’s security - particularly through better migration management and continued support for Ukraine - and advancing a competitive, green Europe. The presidency will run until the end of the year.Denmark’s presidency, under the motto “A Strong Europe in a Changing World,” will focus on a safer, as well as a more competitive and green Europe, according to Danish officials.The Danish Presidency emphasized that the EU is facing a new international order characterized by uncertainty, global strategic and economic competition, and rising levels of conflict.“The EU must be able to act in its own right. The EU’s strength lies in European unity, a solid economic foundation, stable democracies, and socially balanced societies, among other things,” the Danish Presidency of the EU emphasized on its website.They also added that the Danish EU Presidency will work in favor of a strong and decisive European Union that takes responsibility for its own security and strengthening its competitiveness. This requires the bloc to back up its words with actions, and to respond to the challenges it faces.On June 24 in The Hague, Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov signed a document with Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen that paves the way for joint production of Ukrainian arms in Denmark.
