Russia does not change its ultimatum demands on Ukraine at talks in Istanbul – Axios

The so-called "memorandum" with proposals for a ceasefire and an end to the war, which Russia handed over to Ukraine on 2 June, also contains ultimatums recognising the Russian occupation of Ukrainian territories.
Source:Axios learned this from a Ukrainian official who spoke on condition of anonymity, as reported by European Pravda
Details: Axios' source reported that Russia's position, as outlined in the "memorandum", remains "as per usual" and includes, in particular, demands for the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from territories claimed by Russia.
The Russian delegation also proposed that 10 illegally abducted Ukrainian children be returned by 10 July – a small fraction of the list provided by Ukraine during the negotiations.
Two Axios sources said that Vladimir Medinsky, the head of the Russian delegation, called statements about Russia's abduction of tens of thousands of Ukrainian children "propaganda" and urged not to "throw around crazy numbers".
"There is no abduction. Russian soldiers do not abduct. They only saved them because their lives were in danger. Don't put on a show for European sympathetic aunts who don't have children themselves," Axios quotes Medinsky.
Background:
- The meeting between the delegations of Ukraine and Russia, which lasted for just over an hour, was the second since the talks on 16 May.
- As a result of the meeting, the parties were able to reach an agreement on the next exchanges of certain categories of military personnel.
- The Russian delegation claimed that it was offering Kyiv a temporary ceasefire in certain areas of the front line.
